Tournaments generate $3,500 for CURE

CLYO -- The 2019 Big Bass Tournament “Fishing for CURE” was conducted Saturday at the Tuckasee King Boat Landing on the Savannah River.

 Barry and Jamie Thames were the winners. Their five fish weighed a total of 11 lbs., 2 ozs., earning them $3,295. 

Paul Deloach and Randall Reynolds finished second, taking home $1,645 for their catch of 10 lbs., 14 ozs. 

Susan and Danny Houck.received $550 for their third-place catch of 10 lbs, 4 ozs.

Anthony Joyner and Barry Conley hauled in the biggest fish. It weighed 5 lbs. 15 ozs. and was worth $610.

The event featured more than 50 two-person teams.

A cornhole tournament was also conducted at the landing. Hunter Yanklin and Chris Pittman won $280 for clinching first place.

Tucker Stills and Drew Richardson collected the second-place prize of $150. Rob Guthary and Tyler Klozotsky claimed the third-place total of $50

 The tournaments and an accompanying raffle produced $3,500 for CURE.
