Dear Editor,

The Christmas Season is almost upon us and we are planning our Christmas Parade and Festival on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010. By special invitation by Mayor Michael Garvin and City Council we are extending to you an invitation to be part of the festivities. The City of Guyton would be honored and count it a great privilege to have you participate in this event.

All participants in the parade should meet in the parking areas of the Guyton Elementary School located on Highway 17 N. in Guyton. The gates will open at 9 a.m. and the judging of floats will be at 10:30 a.m. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. There will be no participation or sign-up forms to fill out. We just ask that you be present for the line-up no later than 10:15.

Also, between the hours of 9 a.m.-2 p.m. there will be a Christmas Arts and Festival on Main Street. If any of you would like to participate in this event please contact for an application. This is open to food vendors, florists, homemade gifts, etc.

Please feel free to contact us for more information at City Hall (912) 772-3353, 310 Central Blvd., PO Box 99, Guyton, GA 31312. Feel free to extend this invitation to anyone that might be interested in participating in the parade or festival.
