Dear Editor,

The Rincon Noon Lions Club would like to take this time to thank all the participants, volunteers and supporters that helped make the 32nd Annual Lions Christmas Parade a great success.  Because of you, we are able to give support to those in our community that are in need of help with eye exams and glasses.

Plans are under way for next year’s parade to be held the Saturday before Thanksgiving on Nov. 17, 2012, and we look forward to seeing each of you again.

Winner’s from this year’s parade were Lester and Sherry Gaborik, Best Antique/Classic Auto;  Effingham County High School, Best Local Band; Lost Plantation Golf Club/City of Rincon, Best Commercial Float; BDC-Britt’s Dance Company, Best Dance/Gymnastic Group;  Shining Stars, Best Civic Float;  Best Overall Church Float by Attendance: Under 100 Members – Faith Presbyterian Church; 101-199 members – Goshen United Methodist Church; 300-399 members – Rincon Church of God; 400 and above – First Baptist Church of Rincon.

Thank you again from the members of the Rincon Noon Lions Club.
