GUYTON -- Chloe Turner, Chloe Strickland and Natalie Easterling each drove in a pair of runs Thursday to power South Effingham to a 9-0 Region 2-AAAAA softball victory over New Hampstead.
It was the Lady Mustangs' first win in three games.
Hailey Pinette drove in one run and scored three times.
Haylee Johnson was the winning pitcher. She allowed one hit and struck out three in the five-inning affair.
A second game was postponed until Sept. 4. Game 1 got off to a late start because of lightning in the area.
