Rebels slip one game off Region 2-AAAAAA pace

BRUNSWICK -- The Brunswick Pirates blanked Effingham County 3-0 Monday, knocking the Rebels one game off the pace in the Region 2-AAAAAA standings.

The setback dropped Effingham County (13-15, 10-6) into second place with South Effingham (20-8, 10-6). Richmond Hill (19-7, 11-5)  and Glynn Academy (20-7, 11-5) share the top spot.

Richmond Hill holds a tiebreaker advantage, having beaten Glynn Academy in two of three meetings this season.
