South Effingham softball team wins fourth straight game

UYTON -- South Effingham is off to a 4-0 softball start, winning three times via shutout. Southeast Bulloch and Appling County became the Mustangs' latest victims Friday, losing 9-1 and 3-0, respectively. South Effingham has outscored its opponents 23-1. Kastin Belogorska was the winning pitcher in each game. She tallied nine strikeouts in her first two outings and added eight more to her total against the Yellow Jackets and Pirates. Hailey Pinnette was South Effingham's top producer at the plate against Southeast Bulloch, stroking two hits and collected four RBI. One of her hits was a homer. Cheyenne Miller added three hits and two RBI. Rachel Mixon had one hit and two RBI. Belogorska drove in two runs with one hit. Against Appling County, Pinette, Emily Laverernz, Kayley Stone, ReAnn McCloy and Alexa Johanson each tallied one base knock.
