The Effingham County girls track team placed fourth in the Region 3-AAAA meet at Statesboro High, and the Lady Rebels also had three first-place finishes.
The 4x100 relay team of Jasmine Johnson, Gabby Houston, Brettany Griffin and Sierra Goldwire won, while Houston claimed first in the 400-meter dash and Goldwire won the 200-meter dash.
Houston was second in the 100 meters, and Goldwire was fourth in the 100-meter hurdles.
The top two in each event earn berths in the state track meet.
Teammate Yolidia Osbey was third in the 100-meter hurdles and in the 300 hurdles.
Tiffany Orr-Patterson was fifth in the shot put, and Kassie Richbourg was seventh in the 1,600 and 3,200-meter runs.
The state track meet will be held May 1-2 at Hugh Mills Stadium in Albany.
