The South Effingham Mustangs pounded the Liberty County Panthers 6-2 Tuesday night in Region 3-AAA boys soccer.
The victory was the first in region play for the Mustangs, 3-5 overall and 1-3 in the region. Liberty County fell to 1-9-1 on the season and 0-3 in Region 3-AAA.
The Lady Mustangs notched their first win of the season with a victory over the Liberty County Lady Panthers.
The games originally were scheduled to be played at Liberty County but were moved to South Effingham.
South Effingham will host No. 8-ranked St. Vincent’s Academy and Benedictine on Tuesday, with the girls game beginning at 5 p.m.
