Despite blazing conditions, South Effingham is weathering the heat and practicing.

 The Mustangs are working on the fundamentals and hitting each other hard in practice.

“The first few days I think we are further along than I thought we would be,” coach Greg Manior said. “We still have a lot of spots to fill and our young kids are coming out there fighting for a position. Defensively, we are further along than we were last year and the kids know what they are doing."
