Raiders keep pace with Pierce

Savannah Christian beat Jeff Davis 10-8 Friday in Hazlehurst to go to 8-1 in Region 2-AA.

Jordan Hill went 3-for-4 with a homer and a double and drove in two runs. Nate Sisolak went 2-for-2 with an RBI and Kyle Jones was 1-for-2. Jonathan Hester added a solo homer and Kaleb Wynn was 3-for-4.

Sisolak got the win in relief, going 1 1/3 innings. Andrew Drought pitched two scoreless innings for the save.

The Raiders beat Appling County 4-1 last Tuesday behind a complete-game effort from Sisolak, who struck out six. Hill drove in two runs with a double.

Savannah Christian is second in the region behind Pierce County, ranked No. 1 in the state in Class AA.
