Harrison Stafford fired a 74 to capture the GSGA Southeast Sectional tournament at The Landings’ Magnolia Golf Course.
The SEHS rising senior won in a playoff with Ware County’s Jake Minchew, who also shot 74. Savannah Arts Academy’s Gus Beisel finished third with a 76 at the 6,900-yard, par-72 course.
With the win, Stafford finishes as the Southeast Section’s top points winner and will lead a team of players including Minchew, BC’s Kolbe Kennedy and Glynn County’s Mark David Johnson at the GSGA state competition July 22-23 at The Georgia Club in Statham.
