William Griffin was fifth in the 100-meter dash and sixth in the 200-meter dash, and Cheyenne Ryan was seventh in the girls running long jump for the ECRP track team at the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association state track meet in Carrollton.

The Effingham County Recreation and Parks team had six athletes taking part in the class B and C track meet. There were 36 participants in the track program this year, and 16 of them qualified for the district track meet. Seven qualified for the state meet.
