4-H team shoots for the top

Accompanied by six members of the certified volunteer coaching staff, 19 qualifying Junior and Senior competitors advanced to compete at the State Target Challenge match held in May.

Joshua Rahn hit a perfect 25 advancing to a shoot-off round. One of the two senior teams at the state match also advanced to the shoot-off rounds. 

The Effingham 4-H shooting sports program received a boost from the National Rifle Association Foundation with a $510.30 grant. Junior and Senior team members are: Evan Ambrose, Andrew Bradley, Brandon Brown, Brantley Burns, Layton Capwell, Trent Dickerson, Kayla Eddy, James Edwards, Adam English, Alexis Floyd, Joey Funderburk, Cason Gaskin, Bradley Hall, Benjamin Hedgpeth, Sawyer Hunt, Houston Hunter, Nicholas Kmett, Cody Neidlinger, Jordan Parker, Michael Pickering, Joshua Rahn, Michael Rahn, Jeremy Reisner, Lucas Roddenberry, Ian Rowe, Dalton Shelton, Orry Smith, Zachary T. Smith, John Carl Sommer, Walker Summers, Randy Thrasher, Mason Tippins, Harrold Wheeler III, John Whitten, Tyler Wilds, Brent Williams,  Brandon Woods, Kyle Zeigler and Trent Zeigler. Coaches are Roy Calloway, Wayne and Penny Edwards, Wade Floyd, Gary Neidlinger and Bobby and Cassy Tippins.
