Effingham 4-H’ers partnered with the humanitarian organization Samaritan’s Purse to participate this year in the Operation Christmas Child shoebox ministry.

The 4-H’ers packed shoeboxes with fun gifts for needy children, as an expression of God’s love. Since 1993, Samaritan’s Purse reports delivering some 69 million gift-filled shoeboxes to boys and girls in more than 130 countries.

Effingham Junior and Senior 4-H’ers adopted the Operation Christmas Child shoebox ministry as their community service project for the 2014 holiday season.
