ECCA signing
Effingham College and Career Academy and its partner Savannah Technical College celebrated four students - Ben Bothwell, Caleb Coburn, Immanual Jackson and Alex Smith, who earned positions at Gulfstream Aerospace.

EFFINGHAM COUNTY, GA – Effingham College and Career Academy (ECCA), in partnership with Savannah Technical College, hosted a signing ceremony today to honor four graduating students who have completed the Gulfstream Aviation Pathway and officially signed employment agreements with Gulfstream Aerospace.
The event celebrated the accomplishments of Ben Bothwell, Caleb Coburn, Immanuel Jackson, and Alex Smith, who participated in the dual enrollment program with Savannah Technical College. These students have demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill, earning positions with one of the world’s leading aircraft manufacturers.
Keynote speakers included Jimmie Smith, Dean of Aviation Technology at Savannah Technical College, and Jason Pollett, Director of Technical Skill Development at Gulfstream. They were joined by Dr. Yancy Ford, Superintendent of the Effingham County School District (ECSD), and Todd Wall, CEO of ECCA, who all commended the students and highlighted the importance of career and technical education (CTAE).
“This event is a powerful example of what can be achieved through collaboration between education and industry,” said Dr. Ford. “It’s a testimony to CTAE education and the success that results when students have the tools and opportunities to thrive. At ECSD, we believe that learning is a shared responsibility—and we make every moment count because every student matters.”
“Today’s celebration underscores the value of strong community partnerships and shows what’s possible when students are allowed to align their education with real-world careers,” said Todd Wall.
ECCA and ECSD congratulate these four outstanding students and look forward to their continued success in the aviation industry.
