SAVANNAH – Savannah Technical College’s surgical technology program received notice from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP) of the program’s continuing accreditation through 2019.

The recent peer review conducted by the Accreditation Review Committee on Education in Surgical Technology (ARC-ST) and CAAHEP’s Board of Directors found substantial compliance with the nationally established accreditation standards.

“I am so proud of our team,” said Marcia Jones, dean of Allied Health Programs. “Our surgical technology faculty and staff work very hard to ensure the success of every student in the program. This award solidifies that dedication.”

Accreditation standards are established by CAAHEP, the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgical Technologists.
