Ralph Anderson, of Rincon, completed requirements for a Bachelor of Arts degree and graduated magna cum laude from Maryville College.

The distinction of magna cum laude is conferred upon those graduates who have completed at least 64 hours at Maryville College and have attained for the full college course a GPA standing between 3.75 and 3.95 for all work undertaken.

Almost 225 seniors participated in commencement exercises held May 20 on the Anderson Hall lawn.

Anderson, a 2003 graduate of South Effingham High School, majored in environmental studies.

He is the son of James and Jill Anderson of Rincon.
