Ian Anderson was the recipient this year of the Citizens Bank of Effingham Scholarship Fund. This scholarship, in the amount of $1,000 was awarded to one student in the county who excelled academically and showed leadership qualities through their volunteer work in their community and church.  

Anderson is a 2008 graduate of South Effingham High School and plans to attend Armstrong Atlantic State University.  He is the son of James and Jill Anderson of Rincon.
