The Effingham County School System bade a fond farewell to 26 teachers, administrators and staff who are retiring at the school year’s end.

Retiring are: from Blandford Elementary School — Catherine Bergsn and Kathy Lancaster; Ebenezer Elementary — Pamela Anderegg and Debra Snooks; Guyton Elementary — Selena Yocco; Marlow Elementary — Wallace Blackstock; South Effingham Elementary — Sancil Tabakian and Jacqueline Way; Ebenezer Middle — Lori Benassi-Parker; Effingham County Middle — Sylvia Arnsdorff and Kimberly Floyd; South Effingham Middle — Janice Ann Cook, Debra Lee and Ellen Ramsby; Effingham County High — Deborah Lowe, Carol O’Donnell, Debbie Pitts and Robin Smith; South Effingham High — Karen Brindley and Rebecca Truluck; central office — Cynthia Knight and Karen Heimsoth-Miles; food service — Barbara Louder; technology — Charles Pace; and transportation — Wanda Rogers and Peggy Smith.

“Thank you for helping to make a difference in the life of a child,” Superintendent Randy Shearouse told the retirees.
