The Effingham County Future Farmers of America held its 53rd annual banquet with more than 200 members and guests present. Dinner was catered by Bobby’s Hometown Restaurant, along with entertainment by local country duo One19.

The FFA Alumni Association awarded two $1,000 scholarships to FFA 2009-2010 president Christopher Tuten and vice president Lauren Shuman. Jesse Edwards was inducted into the ECFFA Hall of Fame and ECHS Principal Yancy Ford was given an honorary FFA degree.

As the ceremony came to a close, ECFFA officers gave tearful thanks and goodbyes to their advisors, CJ Satterfield, Dr. Freddie Waltz and Meredith Arrington.
