Effingham County 4-H was on the road again for a week of camp filled with thrills and excitement in Atlanta at Fortson 4-H Center.

Teen leaders Hillary Usher, Miranda Gibbs, Kaitlyn Kruse and Natalie Starling along with adult volunteers Mike Curry, Hank Heller, Jim Harrelson, Mike Ristau, David Whitten, Joe Brinson, Alicia Brinson, Teresa Brown, Vicki Arnette, Alicia Edwards, Crystal Jordan, Susanne Sucher, Stacy Mitchel and Crystal Sasser,  join forces with 4-H staff members Connie Heidt and Jan Hall to accompany a large  party of Cloverleaf 4-H’ers for a grand total of 149 folks.

All who traveled  took part in terrific workshops, rock climbing, the zip line and more at the facility. Additionally, they experienced some of Atlanta’s attractions, starting with Stone Mountain’s laser show, followed by an afternoon Six Flags over Georgia, and finishing up with Atlanta Motor Speedway’s Thursday Night Thunder where 4-H’ers and chaperones got to meet the drivers and watch the races.
