Students from Effingham Christian School’s fourth grade class recently visited with Lee Haywood, meteorologist at WSAV in Savannah.

The trip was part of their study of the earth’s atmosphere and weather.  The students learned about what kind of tools are used to predict the weather and practiced “delivering” a weather forecast in front of a green screen.
Mr. Haywood demonstrated several types of radar and spoke about hurricanes and weather patterns as well as what it takes to report the weather on TV.

ECS provides a distinctively classical and Christ centered education and is located at 226 Goshen Rd., Rincon.  For more information you can visit their Web site at www.effinghamchristian.org.
