Effingham students earn honors at Mercer

MACON — Five students from Effingham County were recognized for academic excellence at Mercer University for the fall 2014 semester.

Kenerly Gordon of Guyton, a sophomore, was named to the president’s list of Mercer University’s School of Engineering.

Four students were named to the dean’s list:

Andrew Gill of Rincon, a senior in the School of Engineering

Kelsey Kicklighter of Rincon, a senior in the College of Liberal Arts

Robert Hodges of Meldrim, a sophomore in the College of Liberal Arts

Addie Kicklighter of Rincon, a junior in the School of Engineering

Inclusion on the lists requires students to meet rigorous grade point average standards specific to the college or school within the university.

Maner makes honor roll at Washington and Lee

LEXINGTON, Va. — Amanda Maner of Bloomingdale, a member of the class of 2016 at Washington and Lee University, earned honor roll status for the 2014 fall term.

Honor roll recognition at Washington and Lee represents a term grade average of at least 3.75 on a 4.0 scale.

Arnsdorff makes GHC dean's list

Alec Arnsdorff of Clyo has been named to the dean’s list at Georgia Highlands College in Cartersville for the 2014 fall semester.

Dean’s list recognition at GHC is for students achieving a 3.5 grade point average or higher.
