Amanda Starling and Jan Hall of the Effingham County 4-H present a sign warning of the dangers of texting while driving to the Effingham County commissioners.

There is a sign at Effingham County High School and the group also was awarded money for seven additional signs. The group focused on risky teen driving for its project, Starling said.

The additional signs will be placed at Baker Pond and along Sand Hill, Blue Jay, McCall, Hodgeville, Clyo-Stillwell, Old Augusta and Old River roads.
