GMAT testing available at Ga. Southern in February

The Graduate Management Admissions Test will be offered at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro Feb. 2, 5 and 6. Testing will be conducted in the GMAT Mobile Testing Center, which will be located in the College of Business Administration lot on Forest Drive on the Georgia Southern campus.

All applicants for Georgia Southern University’s Master of Business Administration, Master of Accountancy, Georgia Web MBA, and Master of Science in applied economics are required to provide GMAT scores as part of their admissions application.

Effingham School Board Approves $203M budget with Potential Property Tax Increase

The Effingham County Board of Education approved a $203 million fiscal year 2026 budget Thursday night, reflecting an 11% increase over last year. The rise is largely due to an $8 million spike in health and retirement benefit costs for employees. To help cover the shortfall, the district may raise the property tax millage rate, potentially increasing homeowners’ taxes by up to 12 percent.
