Guyton Elementary enjoyed a fun night with students and their families on Feb. 10. The theme was “Put Your Heart into Learning.”

First, parents and students enjoyed a spaghetti supper sponsored by the PTO, then parents attended sessions in Reading and Math with their student. From playing “Jeopardy” to taking multiplication time tests, parents had the opportunity to see firsthand what their child is learning.  These activities will also help parents know how to prepare their student for the upcoming CRCT test.

“We not only want children to enjoy learning, but to involve parents in their child’s education as well,” said GES parent liaison Bobbie Tootle. “Family Nights give parents this opportunity and parent involvement creates student success.”

Many families also took advantage of the late night to attend the Book Fair, sponsored by Angie Roberts, GES media specialist.
