Hall makes spring deans list at Clemson

CLEMSON, S.C. — Erin Kinsley Hall of Springfield, whose major is health science, has been named to the dean’s list at Clemson University for the spring 2014 semester.

To be named to the dean’s list, a student must achieve a grade-point average between 3.50 and 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.

Ranked No. 21 among national public universities, Clemson University is a major, land-grant, science- and engineering-oriented research university that maintains a strong commitment to teaching and student success.

The Effingham County Board of Education approved a $203 million fiscal year 2026 budget Thursday night, reflecting an 11% increase over last year. The rise is largely due to an $8 million spike in health and retirement benefit costs for employees. To help cover the shortfall, the district may raise the property tax millage rate, potentially increasing homeowners’ taxes by up to 12 percent.
