The Effingham County Health Department will extend its hours until 7 p.m. on July 30 to provide immunizations for school-aged children.

A coupon to Quizno’s will be given to everyone receiving an immunization that day.

The health department also will offer extended hours immunization clinics on Aug. 4 and 5.

“School will be here before you know it and it’s important not to wait until the last minute to get immunizations,” said Cindy Grovenstein, R.N., with the Effingham County Health Department. “We want to make it convenient for parents to bring their children in to get vaccinated.”

The Effingham County Health Department is located at 802 Highway 119 South in Springfield.
