More than 650 degrees were conferred to candidates representing Armstrong’s colleges of Education, Health Professions, Liberal Arts, and Science and Technology at the 2013 winter commencement. Brasseler USA president Don L. Waters, also a University System of Georgia Regent and a 1975 graduate of Armstrong, served as the keynote speaker.

For the first time in the university’s history, Armstrong recognized active duty military and veterans at the winter commencement ceremonies. Graduates who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. armed forces donned patriotic red, white and blue cords over their traditional graduation gowns at the commencement ceremonies.

Armstrong president Linda M. Bleicken welcomed the 2013 graduates and their families to winter commencement.
