Bella Kay Tatum was crowned Miss South Effingham Middle at the school’s annual pageant March 21.

Sixteen girls competed in the categories of teacher recommendation, casual wear, evening gown and on-stage question.

Taylor Neely was first runner-up and Hannah Morris was second runner-up.

Maggie Poff was named Miss Eighth Grade. Poff also earned the highest grade point average award and was voted by the contestants as Miss Spirit of SEMS.

Madelyn Gibney was chosen as Miss Seventh Grade, and Miss Sixth Grade was Bella Sapp.

Raygan O’Neal was selected as the people’s choice, and Quinna Eldridge was most photogenic.
