The Effingham County School System is now accepting new student registrations for the 2014-15 school year.

Registration is required for students transferring from another school district, private or home school for the upcoming school year.

During the summer months and at the beginning of the school year, registration appointments are required. Appointments can be set up through the school system’s Web site, www.effinghamschools.com.

The school system’s central registration office is open Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. The center will be closed the week of June 30-July 4. Parents are encouraged to make appointments early to ensure students are registered prior to open house and the first day of school.

The required forms to be filled out and a list of required documentation are available on the school district Web site. No registrations will be processed without acceptable proof of residency.

Out-of-state transfers will not be processed without either 1) a Georgia immunization form (form 3321) and a certificate of vision, hearing, dental and nutritional screening (form 3300) or 2) evidence of an upcoming appointment, such as an appointment card or letter from the physician.
