The winter concert of the SEHS bands was presented earlier this month.

Directed by Sean McBride and Michael Nestor, with guest conductor Somi Benson-Jaja, several different musical groups from the school’s band program performed. Jaja served as a student teacher for the program until his graduation from Armstrong Atlantic State University.

The evening’s performances included the jazz bands I and II, the clarinet choir, flute, wind and percussion ensembles, the concert and symphonic bands, along with the saxophone quartet and brass ensembles.

All of the musical selections were holiday-themed.

There are 174 students participating in the band program at the school.
