Springfield recognizes student inventors

Springfield Elementary held its annual Invention Convention on Feb. 9 in the school’s gym.  There were more than 50 entrants.  
The students were hoping that their inventions were innovative and creative enough to catch the judges’ attention.

Grade level winners included:
First grade

All participants and guests were invited to a reception in the school’s cafeteria to receive awards.

All first place winners advanced to the countywide Invention Convention held at Marlow Elementary on Feb. 19.  The following students placed at the county invention convention.
