Two locals graduate from Emory

The following received a degree from Emory University in Atlanta at its 165th commencement ceremony on May 10.

Matthew Tamul of Guyton, son of Daniel John Tamul and Carol Ruth Tamul received a Bachelor of Arts from Emory College of Emory University.

Ross Friedman of Yulee, Fla., son of Stephanie L. Yeates of Rincon and Dr. Robert H. Friedman of Yulee, Fla., received a Bachelor of Arts from Emory College of Emory University.

Tamul also was named to the Dean’s List of Emory College, the undergraduate, liberal arts college of Emory University in Atlanta for the 2010 spring semester.

Students must be in the top 20 percent of Emory College or have approximately a 3.853 grade point average or higher to be named to the Dean’s List.
