The Friends of the Effingham County Animal Shelter held a Spring Bow Wow at Ulmer Park on Saturday.

There was a costume contest, a canine obstacle course, a children’s dance contest, Easter bunny photos, and demonstrations from the Effingham County Sheriff Office’s K-9 unit and from the Lethal White Aussie Rescue. Lethal White Aussie Rescue is based in South Carolina and harbors blind and deaf dogs discarded by breeders.
