The City of Rincon honored Boy Scout Troop 665 as its 2011 Great American Clean Up honorary chairs. Troop 665 has donated its time to the beautification of the city since 2009.   Boy Scout Troop 665 will be 34 years old this November. The troop’s scoutmaster is Ken Luikart. Assistant scoutmasters are Roger Lafond, Roger Moore, Bill Ross, Tim Madere, Kirt Witte, Lewis Miles and Thomas Curtis. The Troop Committee Chairman is Ellie Mcloud, and Troop Advancement Chairman is Heidi Longenberger. The Institutional Representative is Rev. Larry Bird.

This local Boy Scout troop has made efforts to keep Rincon beautiful by picking up trash along Lisa Street.  Boy Scout Troop 665 and other members of the community launched the 2011 Great American Clean Up on May 14 at Rincon City Hall.
