Join the Dixie Divas for a fun filled journey of comedy and song as they hit the Emma Kelly Stage on Jan. 18 at 7:30 p.m.

Starring “New York Southerners,” Courtney Collins, niece of Statesboro’s Mayor Bill Hatcher and JoLynn Burks, this heartfelt musical review revolves around the friendship of Southern gals who end up in New York City.

The Dixie Divas meet while performing at Six Flags Over Georgia one hot summer not so long ago and take us along for their fantastic ride through the country.  Come listen to the musical voyage of a hilarious pair of “recovering beauty queens” who sing their way into your hearts through the music of Broadway, New Orleans and the South.

The Averitt Center for the Arts is proud to bring the Dixie Divas to Statesboro to kick off 2008. This is an evening of laughter and amazing sounds from accomplished musicians.

Tickets for the performance are $25 for adults and $10 for youth. The show is reserved seating. For more information and ticket sales contact the Averitt Center for the Arts at (912) 212-ARTS or visit the Box Office at the Emma Kelly Theater Tuesday through Friday from 1-5:30 p.m.
