South Carolina artist Jim Shore, known for his Heartwood Creek Collection, will be in Savannah at Christmas on the River at 219 West River St. on Nov. 25 from noon-5 p.m.

Shore, a master sculptor and painter, draws on his Southern heritage to create his wonderfully detailed collections.
Inspired by his vast collection of quilts, every delightful piece showcases his skills as a portraitist, sculptor and folk artist.

His assortment of table top pieces and figurines are charming and innovative. Brightly crafted, down to earth, every piece has a warm appeal. Shore has been recognized by the National Association of Limited Edition Dealers as Artist of the Year 2003, 2004 and 2005, the Christmas Collectible of the Year 2003 and 2005 and the Christmas Décor of the Year 2004 and 2005.  

Additionally, Shore’s Military Warrior Angel Figurine, “Protect Those Who Sacrifice and Serve” will be available for signing.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Military Angel benefits the National Military Family Association.
