SAVANNAH – Savannah Technical College’s Student Activities Council will host the Third Annual Cultural Awareness Day, Jan. 29 in the Eckburg Auditorium on Savannah Campus beginning at 11 a.m.

The event highlights the growing international population of Savannah Technical College. Over the last four years, the international student population has more than tripled between the four campuses.

“Savannah Technical College thrives within the international community,” said Gail Eubanks, Interim vice president of student success. “Between the college’s English as a second language program and the availability of transferable credits, Savannah Tech has become a great place to start an education for any student.”

The event is free and includes foods from across the world, exhibits highlighting facts from different cultures, and displays created by international students that will represent their country of origin.
