All photos were published by the Springfield Herald, July 12, 1961 and the tour was guided by Maj. Sidney Waldhour Jr., who is not in the photographs. The group of guardsmen is made up of some 70 officers and enlisted men. Thanks to Kelly Dickey, Paul’s brother, for sharing this article from the 49-year-old yellowed newspaper with us.
