Mr. and Mrs. Charlie B. Gnann III of Springfield and Jerrie M. Gnann of St. Augustine, Fla., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Carly Lane Gnann, to Brett Matthew Mincey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Perry R. Mincey of Rincon.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bowers Gnann, Shirley McCarty and the late Carl W. McCarty, all of Springfield. She is a 2006 graduate from Effingham County High School. She is currently attending Georgia Southern University pursuing a degree in early childhood education.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Harold Clifton of Savannah, Linda M. Reading of California, the late Henry R. Mincey of Rincon and Miriam Seckinger Lee of North Carolina. He is a 2003 graduate of South Effingham High School. He attended Georgia Southern University and is currently employed with Clifton Construction Inc., a family-owned business.

The wedding is planned for May 15 at 6:30 p.m. at Forsyth Park in Savannah. Family and friends are invited to attend.
