Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Elliott of Guyton announce the engagement of their daughter, Morgan Leigh, to Landon Daniel Smith of Dalton.

Morgan is the granddaughter of the late Kenneth and Vivian Elliott of Miami, Fla., and Selba and the late James Stuart of Atlanta, Texas. She earned her BS degree in Early Childhood Education and her Master of Education from Georgia Southern University. She is presently employed as a fifth grade teacher for the Effingham County Board of Education in Springfield.

Landon is the grandson of the late A.W. and Barbara Smith of Dalton, and Elizabeth and the late Sonny Philips of Palatka, Fla. He earned his BS degree in Consumer Economics from the University of Georgia, and his MS degree in Health Services Administration from Armstrong State University in Savannah. He is presently employed as Assistant Administrator for North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, Fla.

The couple will reside in Gainesville, Fla. Their wedding will be July 23, 2016, on Tybee Island.
