Mr. and Mrs. Thomas B. Rahn of Springfield are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Janet Marie, to Matthew Richard McGhee, son of Connie McGhee of Dublin and Mr. and Mrs. Ricky McGhee of Sylvania.

The future bride is the granddaughter of Anna Brannon Pepper and the late Frank Pepper of Gainesville, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Burton Rahn of Springfield. She is a 1993 graduate of Effingham County High School, a 1998 and 2003 graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in health and physical education and a Masters degree in school counseling. Janet is currently employed as a school counselor at

Screven County High School in Sylvania.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Eveline Clark and the late J.B. Clark of Dublin, the late Mr. and Mrs. George Snellgrove of Dublin, and Gibretta McGhee and the late Billy R. McGhee Sr. He is a 1993 graduate of Dublin High School and a 1998 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a degree in business management. Matt is currently employed by J&E Oil Co. of Sylvania.

The wedding is planned for Oct. 24, 2009, at 5:30 p.m. at Bennett’s Landing in Millen. No local invitations will be sent. All family and friends are invited to attend.
