Mr. Wren Sanders of Pooler and Dr. Ronny and Ruth Thomason of Jacksonville, Fla., announce the engagement of their daughter, Angielyn Faye Sanders, to Matthew David Hughes, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Craig Hughes of Savannah.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. Theo and Mrs. Virginia Elizabeth Sanders of Savannah, and the late Mr. William Lee and Mrs. Dorothy Louise Smith of Savannah. She is employed with CH2M HILL OMI managing the Effingham County Public Works Department.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. Willis Alfred and the late Mrs. Becky Perkins Hughes of Blairsville and the late Mr. Alfred Brooks and Mrs. Mellie Bargeron Sheley of Savannah. He is employed with United Parcel Service and will be pursuing his flight career upon being wed.

Both attended Bible Baptist Day School.

A private ceremony will be held in September for family and friends.
