Darla Ray, a 49-year-old single mother, always dreamed of graduating from college.

Now, that dream has become a reality.

Ray, who was was diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder that put her in a wheelchair six years ago, will graduate from the University of North Texas the same school her two daughters attend, according to WFAA, a local Texas news station.

"There was always that voice inside me that said, 'You're supposed to have a college education, that's something that's on your to-do list, Ray told WFAA. Im about to graduate. It's very surreal."
