THE WILD One of those Internet-ers with too much time on his hands added lasers and explosions to a nature video, and its awesome.
When making this video, YouTube user Blackhawk was certainly channeling his inner Dr. Evil from "Austin Powers," whose only wish was to own a tank full of sharks with lasers on their heads in order to better kill his enemies.
The original video is dramatic in and of itself. It shows how freshwater crocodiles hunt thirsty flying fox bats that are only trying to practice practical emergency preparedness by getting hydrated before taking shelter ahead of an oncoming monsoon in Australia.
In the new and improved video, the drama is increased with the addition of laser blasts and explosions, making for a proper sci-fi battle. Bats swoop and shoot lasers in short bursts not unlike TIE fighters, and crocs each become individual Death Stars with large and destructive beams bursting from their maws.
My only addition is this: I hope someday in the future will we be cosplaying with wings and teeth to re-enact this epic battle for the ages.
