HISSINGTON Growing up, it was certainly pounded into my tiny skull that rattlesnakes are about the worst news ever in the wilderness. In fact, any rattling sound would send me running for the shelter of a panic room.
I still have that childhood panicky fear when I even think about a rattlesnake, so its ironic that I couldnt turn away from this rattlesnake-filled video. Its utterly terrifying.
Basically, a Montana man finds a rattlesnake den filled with dozens of snakes and decides it would be a good idea to film it with his GoPro camera. Not a decision I would endorse, but Im not the boss of him.
I will tell you but only because I feel like a good person today that there are at least three snakes that strike at the camera. So if you jump out of your skin when that happens, you have been warned.
If the sheer cacophony of the ratting snakes and the strikes dont make your skin crawl, just wait until this guy drops his camera in the den and tries to retrieve it. You will hear his wife isnt happy about his retrieval decision either.
Story moral: Just say "no" to rattlesnake dens (but maybe say "yes" to this video from the safety of your own home).
