Who says that the never-ending task of shoveling snow during Canadian winters cant have dance breaks? - photo by Martha Ostergar
NOVA SCOTIA, Canada As my Canadian mother always says, Snow is like life. Stuff just keeps falling in your way, and you just keep shoveling until you die, but dont forget to take a few dance breaks.

OK, so my mother never ever said that. However, she is Canadian and knows a thing or two about snow, just like the three fine gentlemen in this video.

The men are part of a performing group called the Maritime Bhangra Group, and they are all about performing the traditional bhangra dance from the Punjabi region in northern India. While you can hire the group for events, they also post incredibly joyful videos as they perform bhangra at different locations in their beloved Nova Scotia.

In this particular video, three of the group members break into dance while clearing a recent skiff of snow in Halifax. Its just good, happy fun for the whole family. In fact, as I sit in a cozy warm house in the dead of winter, I find myself wishing I were out there shoveling and dancing with them.

The group also often asks their viewers to contribute to a cause, like ALS research, if viewers like the videos. Plus the MBG often encourage viewers to visit Nova Scotia to see its beauty and wonders.

If you want to see more from the MBG, visit their YouTube channel or their Facebook page. Between the two platforms, the groups snow shoveling dance video has been viewed almost 2 million times as of the writing of this article. They also had their first viral video earlier this year, which you can see here.
