Beauty and the Beast may be a tale as old as time, but fans of the classic story got their first substantial look at its new retelling Monday.

The trailer for the live-action version of Beauty and the Beast, which is set to open in theaters on March 17, 2017, was released on Monday and appears to be every bit as magical as the classic animated film.

The movie stars Emma Watson, best known for her role as Hermione in the Harry Potter movies, as Belle, along with Dan Stevens of "Downton Abbey" fame playing the role of the Beast.
