Brooke Pevey of Springfield was crowned Miss Effingham County on Dec. 4. The Miss Effingham County pageant was held at the Comfort Suites hotel in Port Wentworth.
Pevey is the 18-year-old daughter of Terrell and Dana Pevey of Springfield. She is a freshman at Georgia Southern University, where she is pursuing a degree in finance. She plans to use her degree to become a successful realtor.
